Mashpee Public Library Giving Opportunities

FUND RAISING PROGRAM FOR MASHPEE PUBLIC LIBRARY


The Friends of the Mashpee Public Library have established a fund-
raising goal of $500,000.  To meet this goal, the Friends are providing
opportunities to support the new library by securing naming rights for
various sections of the library.  Giving Opportunities are designed to
memorialize loved ones or to recognize individuals, families,
organizations and charitable groups.  Appropriate recognition will be
acknowledged with an engraved plaque.

Following is a summary of several sections offered by the library as
Giving Opportunities.

Major Giving Opportunities
Children’s Library     $100,000

100-Seat Events and Community Room $75,000

Giving Opportunities: $25,000 to $50,000

Audio-Visual Collection-   $50,000

Browsing New Books Area     $50,000

Conference Room   Taken by Gloria Selander

Circulation Desk Area    $50,000  Taken by Roche Bros. Supermarkets

Young Adult Area     $25,000

Native People’s Collection    $25,000

Donations may be made in full or through a pledge with payments made over a two to three year period or with the donation of stocks and bonds.  We are a 501.c.3 non-profit corporation.  All contributions are tax deductible. Giving Opportunities from $10,000 to $15,000 each
Reading Living Room ($15,000)  Taken by Mashpee Women’s Club
Group Study Areas (2) ($15,000) (1 still available)    
Periodicals Section  ($10,000)  Taken by Helene and Ed Defoe      
Adult Non-Fiction Section ($10,000)
Adult Fiction Section  ($10,000) Taken in honor of The Pinards

Remaining Giving Opportunities for $125to $5,000
Bricks – $125  (4 by 8 inches)   (Large Bricks (8 by 8 inches) $200
Pick up an application form at the Library or Town Hall.
Contributions of $250 or more will be recognized on the Donor Wall.

Library supporters may have opportunities to purchase decorative tiles for a mosaic wall in the children’s wing and/or brass plaques on bookshelves throughout the library. These donations will establish a fund for programs in our 100-seat Events Room.
