Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 4:00 PM – Mike Bent’s Hero Training Academy Magic Show – Mike Bent, voted Boston’s Best Children’s Entertainer, presents a silly, superhero-themed, character building show.  Using hilarious comedy, amazing magic, crazy puppets, music, sound effects and riveting storytelling, the show will help kids discover their inner “super powers”!

Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 10:00, 10:25, 10:50, 11:15 and 11:40 AM – Baby Farm Animals – A menagerie of adorable baby farm animals to hold and cuddle!  Sponsored by the Mashpee Coordinated Family and Engagement Grant.   Registration Required.  Call 508-539-1435 ext. 3001 or email

Summer Weekly Events

Mondays at 10:15 –  Toddle Time with Miss Rosemary – July 6 through August 10, 2015 – Simple stories, songs and craft for toddlers age 2 to 4.

Mondays at 11:15 – Lap Babies with Miss Rosemary – July 6 through August 10, 2015 –Songs, rhymes and simple stories for you and your “lap” baby up to 15 months.

Every Tuesday from 4:00 to 5:00 – LEGO Club – June 30 through August 25, 2015 –  Join the LEGO fun!  The library supplies the LEGOs and you supply the creativity!  School age children welcome.  An adult must accompany children under the age of 10.  No registration required.

Wednesdays at 2:00 PM – Rainy Day Matinee – July 8 through August 26, 2015 If it is not a beach day, the library will show a feature-length family film.  Call 508- 539- 1435 ext. 3001 for the title.

For Teens and Tweens

Saturday, August 8, 2015 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM – Wicked Fun Games – Drop in any time between 1:00 and 4:00 to play some award-winning “table top” games with Matt Donle.  These go way beyond Monopoly. Tuesday, August 18 2015 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM – Family Reboot Camp with Janell Burley Hofmann – Parents and their teens/tweens talk technology with the author of iRules:  What Every Tech Healthy Family Needs to Know About Selfies, Sexting, Gaming and Growing Up.   Family Reboot Camp allows parents and their teens/tweens to come together with each other to talk about technology in a fun and relaxing environment. Families are invited to join Janell to discuss iRules, Slow Tech Parenting and more.  Every family will receive a complimentary copy of Janell’s book, iRules.
