Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 10:30 AM – Miss Kim Family Science Program – Be a Super Hero and Save the Planet (Earth Day and Recycling) – Great Family Fun!  Hands on Activities for Ages 3 and up.  This FREE event is sponsored by The Mashpee Coordinated Family and Engagement Grant.

Tuesday, April 21, 2015 – Mashpee Public Library’s 5th Anniversary – Help us celebrate the library’s 5th birthday.  We’re throwing a party and you are invited!  Join us for cake, a scavenger hunt, games, face painting and a chance to win prizes!  Fun for all ages!

Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 10:30 AM – Celebrate Earth Day with Children’s Author, Christina Laurie!Christina Laurie, author of the new children’s book, C is for Cape Cod will join us as we learn about Cape Cod, Earth Day and make some cool crafts.  FREE!  No registration required.

Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:30 – Digital Music Workshop – Sonic Pi Synthesizer (Ages 11 – 18) – The Rhode Island Computer Museum will help unmask the mystery of making digital music with Sonic Pi Synthesizer software and the Raspberry Pi, a tiny credit card sized single-board computer. This workshop using the Raspberry Pi® is aimed towards educating a new generation of programmers and electronic engineers.  Build a synthesizer and rock out!  This is a Teen/Tween event for ages 11 to 18.  The workshop is FREE but space is limited and registration is required.  Email or call 508-539-1435 X 3001.

Friday, April 24, 2015 at 2:300 PM – Popcorn and a Movie! – Enjoy the big screen and sound system at the library!  We will be showing Disney’s BIG HERO 6, featuring comic-book-style action and hilarious, unforgettable characters — it’s fun for the whole family!  Bring a comfy pillow and be entertained by this action-packed comedy adventure.  This movie is rated PG and recommended for age 7 and up.  Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the film.  Running time is 102 minutes.  FREE!  No registration required.

Saturday, May 9, 2015 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM – Wicked Fun Games – Drop in any time between 1:00 and 4:00 to play some award-winning “table top” games with Matt Donle.  These go way beyond Monopoly. Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 10:30 AM – Miss Kim Family Science Program – Fantastic Flowers – Great Family Fun!  Hands on Activities for Ages 3 and up.  This FREE event is sponsored by The Mashpee Coordinated Family and Engagement Grant.


Every Tuesday from 4:30 to 5:30 – Join the LEGO fun with Alan.  The library supplies the LEGOs and you supply the creativity!  School age children welcome.  An adult must accompany children under the age of 10.  No registration required.


Story Time Schedule – Begins January 5, 2015

Mondays at 10:15 and 11:15 Toddle Time with Miss Rosemary – Simple stories, songs and craft for toddlers age 2 to 4.

Wednesdays at 11:30 Lap Babies with Miss Rosemary – Songs, rhymes and simple stories for you and your “lap” baby up to 15 months.

There are no story times during school vacation weeks and school snow days.
